Connecting a carrier account directly to PostCo allows you to streamline the returns process. It automates the generation of return shipping labels, making it easier and more efficient for customers to return their items.
Additionally, you have the flexibility to charge customers for return shipping, helping you offset operational costs and manage returns more effectively.
Carrier accounts
PostCo supports two types of carrier accounts:
Ship by PostCo - Use PostCo’s negotiated rates for supported carriers.

Connect Your Own Account (BYOA) - Enter your account credentials and generate labels through your own carrier account. Refer to this article to connect your carrier account to Postco.

What your customers would see
Once a carrier account is successfully connected, customers will be able to select the shipping method during their return journey.
They will be asked to validate their shipping address to ensure that the selected carrier is within coverage.
Frequently asked questions
When is a return shipping label generated and sent to the customer?
A return shipping label is generated and sent to your customer via email once the return request has been approved. You will be able to locate your customers' shipment information under the Manage Returns tab too (as shown below).How is the return shipping fee handled?
By default, all return shipping fees will be deducted from the customer’s final refund amount. You can connect Stripe to directly receives your customers' payments.I prefer not to have the return shipping fee deducted from the total refund amount. What are my options?
If you prefer not to deduct the shipping fee from the total refund amount, you can connect your Stripe account to handle all customer payments directly, giving you more control over how fees are managed.
