Automate RMA creation and sync return request status with Mintsoft
Mintsoft is a warehouse management system (WMS) used by brands to manage warehouse operations. With the PostCo–Mintsoft integration, you can:
Auto-create RMAs in Mintsoft
Sync return outcomes back to PostCo
How it works for my warehouse team or 3PL?
Here's what you can expect with the full workflow:
When a return request is approved in PostCo, this will automatically create an RMA in Mintsoft.
In the event if the Shopify order is linked to multiple Mintsoft orders, PostCo will create separate RMAs - each containing only the item(s) that belong to that Mintsoft order.
Note: This often happens only if you fulfil the items separately or the items are fulfilled from different Mintsoft warehouses.
Information sent to Mintsoft to create the RMA includes:
a) Item quantity
b) Product ID
c) Mintsoft return reason ID
d) Return photos (where available)Below is a sample of the RMA created by the integration:
Once the warehouse has received and inspected the item, they can proceed to confirm/complete the RMA in Mintsoft.
The return request in PostCo will automatically be updated to resolved or rejected based on your action mapping.
In the event if at least one of the line items requires manual resolution, the entire return request must be completed in PostCo.
Note: The recommended action for each line item will be displayed within the PostCo returns dashboard. Refer to the example below.
Connecting Mintsoft to PostCo
In your PostCo dashboard, head over to App Integrations and look for Mintsoft.
Click connect and go ahead to insert your Mintsoft account credentials (username and password).
Lastly, hit on the submit.
Note: If Mintsoft is handled by your third-party logistics (3PL), you can contact them to retrieve the account credentials.
Once you have successfully connected the account, you will be prompted to a green banner as shown in the example below.
Configuring settings and mapping
Step 1: Linking Mintsoft warehouses
Link each PostCo return location to its respective Mintsoft warehouse, allowing the system to determine when and where to create an RMA in Mintsoft.
Note: An RMA will not be created in Mintsoft for any unmapped warehouses.
Step 2: Mapping return reason
Tied each PostCo return reason to its respective return reason in Mintsoft. This is to ensure that the correct return reason is used to create an RMA.
Note: Mintsoft return reason is included when creating the RMA, along with the associated Mintsoft order, return item's quantity, product ID, and any return photos.
Step 3: Mapping Mintsoft action
Map each Mintsoft return reason to a PostCo action. When the warehouse has received and inspected the item(s) and the RMA is marked confirmed in Mintsoft, PostCo uses this mapping to automatically resolve the return request.
Note: If any return line item within the RMA is mapped to Manual Resolution, the entire return request requires manual completion in the PostCo returns dashboard.
Once you are done with the setup, you can proceed to activate the integration.
Locating Mintsoft information in PostCo
On the Return details page in PostCo dashboard you’ll see:
A Mintsoft return info section with the linked RMA ID and status.
Any warnings (e.g., missing mapping) that affected RMA creation or auto‑resolution.
