Enabling store credit via discount code
Offering store credit via discount code is a great way to retain your customers because you are providing customers with the opportunity to make future purchase, thereby increasing the likelihood of repeat sales.
When a customer opted for a discount code, they will automatically receive a discount code once their return request has been resolved. Any unused balance will not be carried forward.
Setting up discount code
Enabling return for discount code
In your PostCo dashboard, navigate to Return Settings > Refund. Check the box for return for discount code to enable the option.
By default, discount codes do not have an expiration date. If you want to set an expiry period, simply specify the number of months in the placeholder.
Customising the title and description
Once you have enabled store credit via discount code, this is what your customers would see in the returns portal.
To customise the title and description, locate the customisation section under Return Settings > Refund > Store credit.
Frequently asked questions
How is store credit via a discount code different from a gift card?
Unlike a gift card, a discount code can only be used once at checkout. Any remaining balance won’t carry over. Once the discount code is applied, it becomes invalid for future purchases.
